Michael Davies is Principal of Davies and Co., a firm specializing in principal investing, providing advisory services with respect to mergers and acquisitions and investment banking.  From 1986 to 1996, Mr. Davies was a Managing Director of RBC Capital Markets and predecessor firms, during which time he was co-head of the firm's Mergers and Acquisitions Group.  He was the firm's senior Mergers and Acquisitions advisor from 1996 to 2002.  Prior to that, Mr. Davies spent six years as a member of the Oil and Gas Group with Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated.  From 1977 to 1980, Mr. Davies was Cheif Financial Officer and Vice President of the Polar Gas Project, a consortium formed to construct a natural gas pipeline to deliver Arctic gas to eastern Canada and U.S. markets. Mr. Davies holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia and is a member of the Canadian Association of Chartered Business Valuators.  Mr. Davies is also a director of Cadent Energy Partners and Eno-Tech Energy Partners, both of which are private equity firms, as well as Echoex Ltd., a private oil and gas exploration and development company.
